Offering traditional Irish and British style fish and chips to the crowds at Coogee, it’s a great spot to head to for a post swim lunch. Catering to coeliacs, they offer an extensive gluten free menu with everything from battered fish and chips, calamari and of course, a golden, gluten free chicken schnitzel.
Try their take on a schnitty burger, served with crispy bacon, onion rings, cheese and sauce on a toasted sesame bun.

A well known fixture in Miranda, Diggers is known for affordable food, beers and good times. Offering classic pub favourites like gourmet burgers, hearty steaks and chicken schnitty’s, 615 Brasserie does so with a twist – it’s all gluten free, thanks to the infamous Chef Andrew.
If you’re looking for something different, we recommend trying the chicken schnitzel burger, or stick to a classic schnitzel with your choice of toppings – Napolitana sauce and cheese, garlicky prawns with avocado, or creamy bacon and mushroom sauce.
The Goni’s Schnitzeria

Established in 2001, this family based business is known for their South American and Spanish inspired schnitzel menu. Focusing on creating homemade, good quality meals, Goni’s is all about offering great value for money.
The entire schnitzel menu can be made gluten free, with a choice of chicken, beef, pork or vegetarian options. You can also opt for one of the ‘unique’ schnitty’s, with toppings like chorizo and tomato salsa (Española), eggplant, artichokes and sundried tomatoes (antipasto), beans, guacamole, and melted cheese (Mexican) and many more, mouthwatering options.
The Bunker Cafe Bar Restaurant

Bringing delicious food and a dedicated team to the Blue Mountains, The Bunker is a must visit in the area.
Their gluten free chicken schnitzel comes with slaw, buttermilk aioli and house fries. We recommend pairing it with a side of gravy.
Elvy’s on Allen
79 Allen St, Leichhardt
One of the oldest traditional corner butcher shops left in Australia, Elvy’s shop on Allen street first opened in 1952 and is now a heritage listed location.
Still a traditional family butcher, the owner David and his team pride themselves on offering some of the best, local, and handmade goods, that are grass fed, free range and preservative free.
Try their twist on the traditional chicken schnitty, made with lemon and parsley. Pair it with a zingy sauce and salad for a quick and delicious meal.
Penny’s Pasta and Schnitzels

Cooking at some of the best restaurants in Sydney for over 17 years, Kevin wanted to make dining out more approachable and affordable in Sydney. It took a few years of trial and error to create one of the best schnitty’s in town, resulting in a crispy, golden offering every time.
Each schnitzel comes with an option of two sides and sauce, and you can choose from a range of flavours inspired by America, Hawaiian, Mexican and Irish flavours.
